We celebrated Jody's birthday on Monday by sharing dinner together at an Indian restaurant. Then on Wednesday, we celebrated with Russell over dinner and cake. Happy birthday to Jody and Russell!

On Friday night we all got together to celebrate the time that Matthias has spent with us over the last five months and to prepare ourselves for a sad farewell. Next Friday he will be moving back to Berlin. The festivities included a potluck dinner, a photo presentation of Matthias, by Matthias, and a rousing game of croquet.

Sofia is the beautiful, intelligent little girl that I have been spending time with lately. She is not even two and a half yet, but she speaks fluent German and understands English, French, and Farsi. I spend twelve hours per week with her to work on language development (and give her mother a little bit of a break). These are pictures of us at the pool.

On Monday nights and Wednesday mornings, Leslie leads aerobics classes in the church building. This week, Matthias experienced his first aerobics class... It was extremely entertaining for the rest of us.

meredith's visit

It was just so good to have Meredith here.
We had fun times together in Mt. Adams, at the art museum, Old St. George's, Ault Park, and Jimmie's Tap Room. We also spent some quality time with some of the good people here... going to see 'Supersize Me', staying up all night for the prayer vigil, celebrating Jeremy's birthday, and hanging out at Kim and Shaina's party. My only complaint: three days just wasn't enough time.
