My friend Christy came up from Dallas to visit for the weekend. It was a quick visit, but we managed to pack in some fun times for her stay in Cincinnati.

Today we finished moving Kenny and Marissa into an apartment down the road. And none too soon... their baby is due in a week! It won't be the same without them in the convent... but at least its just a short walk to their new place.

a day trip

Soren is one month old already!
On Friday, I went up to Washington Court House to spend time with Matthew, Tom, Nicole, and Soren. We all had lunch together, and then Matt and I went out for coffee and to my favorite bookstore in Columbus. These are good people.

a trip to dallas

Ryan and I just got back yesterday from a fabulous trip to Dallas. It has been seven months since I have spent time with my old roommates, my old neighbors, or my church family. It was great to catch up. Everyone was incredibly generous, and I am so grateful.
Some of the highlights included:
-staying at the Griffith compound
-hanging out with Savanna and Luisa
-late nights downtown with Meredith
-being welcomed in my old neighborhood with hugs from about a dozen kids
-worshipping with my Dallas church family
-going to Jacob and Nathan's first show (Stellamaris)
-going to a Ranger's game with so many friends
-the cookout at the Griffiths
...It was a beautiful weekend. Thank you to my friends in Texas! I have missed you!

a trip to chicago

It was a cold and sunny day at the beach in Chicago. The fun involved watching Erin help a Kite Man with his crazy contraption, trying (unsuccessfully) to play with a cloth Frisbee on a VERY windy day, warming up with good coffee at a diner, and spending time with good people.

I finally got on here to see them. hopefully I can get somewhere to print them out in the next couple days. Anyway I really enjoyed them! Thanks and it was so good as always to see you. Proud, blessed & joyful mommy, Nicole
